I grew up in Sheffield Lake with my mom, dad, grandma, and younger brother. I have always
wanted to be a teacher. When I was 6, I used to play school with my dad and my guinea pigs. I
had 2 chalkboards in my bedroom and my favorite store was Holcomb's ... not much has changed.
I received my undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace where I concentrated on
mathematics and special education. I received my Masters Degree in Instructional Technology
from the University of Akron. I also earned my National Board Certification in 2005 and the
distinction of being chosen as Brunswick District Teacher of the Year.
Before teaching in Brunswick, I worked with toddlers at a daycare center, as a waitress at
Chi-Chi's, and also as a Veterinarian technician.
I married my wonderful husband, Charlie in 2005 and we had our son, Miles on May 26, 2008. I
feel so blessed. I have such a wonderful and supportive family AND my career is way too much
fun to ever feel like "work"!
